Ann Kavanagh visual artist originally from Kilkenny, now living in Dublin. She graduated as a mature student from Dun Laoghaire IADT in 2004 receiving an honours degree in Fine Art. Ann works across the mediums of photography and printmaking and is a member of the Black Church Print Studio since 2004. Ann has also work at other print studios over the last 8 years namely Courtyard Print Studio, Airfield, Dundrum, Dublin and Druckstella Printmaking Studio, Berlin, Germany
Exhibitions include “Relief Technique” Group Exhibition – Belfast Print Workshop Gallery, Guanlan International Print Biennial China 2011, “Draw the Line”, “Node” and “Defining Space” all selections on behalf of Black Church Print Studio, “Advent” a showcase for emerging print makers at the Original Print Gallery, Dublin 2004, “Impressions 2004″ Galway Arts Centre, curated by Mick Moon, Ann was awarded 2nd prize at this show. Ev+a 2005 Limerick City Gallery of Art, “Eigse” 2004 & 2005 and RDS Art Student Award Scheme 2003 & 2004. Her work is in many private and public collections both abroad and in Ireland i.e.Office of the Public Works, Dun Laoghaire IADT, AIB and Ulster Bank.
